The History Museum in Birstonas was founded in 1967. The main part of the museum's exposition was collected by local historians of the city's secondary school. The museum has collected about 8000 exhibits to date. The main exposition has about 500 exhibits, they are constantly updated and replenished. In the collection of the museum, you can see a variety of ethnographic, household, archaeological exhibits, photographs, documents, things directly related to the development of the Birstonas resort.

The collection exposition in the Birstonas Museum can be divided into three parts. One of them allows visitors to trace the history of the development of the city from ancient times to the middle. 19th century, about how the resort began its development.
