Bobrenev Monastery is located not far from Kolomna and was founded, according to legend, by Prince Dmitry Donskoy and his voivode D.M. Bobrok-Volynsky, after the victory at the Kulikovo field. The structures of those years have not survived, since in the 18th century the monastery was rebuilt - the monastery became the suburban residence of the Kolomna bishops.

At the end of the 18th century, a baroque pillarless cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin was built. Its hipped bell tower is made in the traditional architectural style of the 17th century. Later, a winter Fedorovskaya church appeared (built in 1860), and a year later - a cell and an urgent building. A stone fence with towers in the style of Russian pseudo-Gothic was also built at the end of the 18th century.

From the southern gate, made in the form of a triumphal arch, a picturesque panorama of the Moskva River and its surroundings opens.

The monastery was finally liquidated in 1930, its buildings were given to the state farm, then abandoned. Reopened in 1992.
