Piast Park was founded in 1902-1904 on a high hill of the same name overlooking the town of Zielona Gora. This is an amazing piece of wildlife that is home to squirrels and several species of birds. Close to the park are forest lands that surround the city. Hikers in the surrounding forests usually start their excursions along the paths of this park. People come here with children, for whom there is a playground. Athletes use trails with ideal surfaces for jogging or cycling. Botanists and simply lovers of flora will find here about 100 species of rare plants, among which there are unique specimens. For example, here you can see a beech, whose trunk in girth is 377 cm, or a linden tree, which has 4 fused trunks.

Lovers of beautiful photographs visit these green spaces. Especially picturesque views can be seen from the banks of the Pustelnik stream, which flows through the territory of the Piast Park.

There are also several residential buildings here. This is the former hotel "Pastenhof", which is now the episcopal residence, and the Anna Hermann amphitheater. Some time ago, it was planned to build a Palm Pavilion here, but this idea remained unrealized due to the complexity of the structure of the steel frame of the building. Then they wanted to build a sports hall in the park and some private buildings intended for everyday life. Fortunately, construction has not begun.
