The founding of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Mary, which is located in the village of Verkhniy Koropets, took place in 1704. Its very appearance was associated with the fact that at that time a large group of German colonists settled in this place, having founded a temple here. The church acquired its present appearance in the 19th century. The strict forms of the temple, the lack of external decoration give this religious building an extremely modest look. These characteristics were characteristic of the Western European churches of that period. Despite the high tower topped with a cross, the building does not dominate the territory, parishioners and visitors. The architectural ensemble is in complete harmony with the world around it, making a kind, "bright" impression.
