The Church of St. Marina, located in Cordoba near the Viana Palace, belongs to the so-called "Ferdinand's churches" built after the liberation of the city by King Ferdinand III of Castile from the Arab conquerors. The church is one of the oldest in Cordoba - its construction dates back to 1236. The Church of Santa Marina was rebuilt from a Muslim mosque, which in turn was erected on the site of a Visigothic temple dating from the 7th century. The appearance of the church shows features of the Gothic and late Romanesque styles, intersecting with architectural elements in the Baroque and Mudejar styles.

With its massive, austere facade, the church resembles more a fortress than a religious temple. The main entrance is made in the form of a pointed arch with a large rose window above it. On the side of the right facade, there is a beautiful bell tower, built in the 16th century under the leadership of Hernan Luis the Younger.

Inside, the temple is divided into three naves, which are separated from each other by rows of pointed arches. The beautiful Orozco Chapel, created in the 15th century and decorated in the Mudejar style, deserves special attention. Currently, it houses church utensils. In the main chapel, there is an amazingly beautiful altar created by Antonio del Castillo. There is also a beautiful statue of Our Lady by the Cordoba sculptor Gomez de Sandoval.

Since 1931, the Church of San Marina has been given the status of a national historical and architectural monument.
