The gallery is named after a native of the city of Gabrovo - Bulgarian Hristo Tsokev, who after graduating from the Moscow Art School became the first painter in the country to receive a professional art education. Over the years of the Art Museum's existence, its funds have significantly replenished. At the moment, the collection of the gallery is presented in four exhibition halls with a total area of 3 thousand square meters. In addition, the museum also has a storage area of 9 thousand square meters, which houses 3200 exhibits. Samples of icon-painting art by representatives of the Tryavna art school are presented here as permanent exhibitions.
