Photo and description

The Church of St. Mary was founded in the 13th century as a parish church. In 1380 it was reconstructed, but its appearance was fully formed only by the 15th century. The early Gothic interior of the church with numerous decorations makes it one of the most remarkable in the city.

The pulpit by Andreas Schluter (170) is decorated with figures of John the Baptist and allegories of virtues. The Baroque main altar was designed by Andreas Kruger in 1762. The 15th century font is made in the Gothic style.
