Photo and description

The center of traditional crafts in the city of Petrozavodsk is located in a historic building of the 19th century. This small and cozy house with three windows with a mezzanine is located in the city center and consists of an exhibition hall, craft workshops, classrooms, and a gift shop. Getting to the Crafts Center, you have a unique opportunity to see how the craftsmen work and try to participate in master classes yourself, and get acquainted with the modern and traditional arts and crafts of the Republic of Karelia. You will also have the opportunity to purchase your favorite handmade products for your family and friends.

All craftsmen who work in the Crafts Center are highly qualified specialists and are part of the Guild of Craftsmen of the Republic of Karelia. All excursion programs in the Crafts Center are adapted for children from 6 years old, and the craftsmen are engaged in teaching activities.

Thanks to cooperation with travel agencies, the Center for Traditional Crafts makes artisans travel outside Petrozavodsk to camp sites. There they conduct master classes and excursion activities for Russian and foreign tourists.
