Dreamworld Amusement Park (Dreamworld theme park) description and photos - Australia: Gold Coast. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The name in English is Dreamworld theme park.

Photo & Description

Dreamworld on the Gold Coast of Australia is by far the largest theme park in the country with 27 attractions, including 4 roller coasters. The park consists of several venues: Ocean Parade, Nickelodeon, The Spinning World, Gold Rush Land, Rocky Gorge, Tiger Island and Australian Wildlife. Very often during the year, Dreamworld remains open after dark, and then it turns into Screamworld - a world of horror with chilling attractions.

The park began in 1974, when John Longhurst decided to make his dream come true - to build a theme amusement park, and purchased 85 hectares of land in the town of Kumera near the Pacific Highway. Working 12 hours a day Longhurst spent 2 years digging the channel for the Murrissipe River. Sparing no expense, he hired the designers who worked on the creation of Disneyland and Walt Disney World. When choosing attractions, Longhurst relied on meeting the needs of all age groups. On November 15, 1981, Dreamworld was inaugurated by the Premier of Queensland, Sir Joe Bjelk-Peterson. Today you can really find entertainment here for every taste.

From the entrance begins the Main Street - Main Street, passing through the entire park. Along it there are cafes and souvenir shops, a 3D cinema and the Dreamworld railway station. Lovers of antiquity should hurry to the Land of the Gold Rush, where you can shoot at the shooting range and ride with a breeze on the rumbling water slope. If you want to tickle your nerves, then you need to go to the Rocky Gorge, where the world's highest free fall attraction has been operating since 1998 - from a height of 119 meters you will sweep at a speed of 135 km / h! Or in Rivertown, home to one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world, Tower of Fear II. At the Parade of Oceans site, there are three of the 6 most "terrible" local attractions - Claw, Razgrom and Cyclone. And here you can test yourself as a diver or a stingray hunter. Well, after such an emotional shake-up, it is better to head to the Australian Wildlife Zoo and calmly wander among the nearly 800 animals in their natural habitat. Or you can visit Tiger Island, where 6 Bengal and 6 Sumatran tigers and 2 panthers live. Toddlers will love the Spinning World, where they can enjoy safe and slow-paced rides. Older children should be sent to Nickelodeon to meet the heroes of popular cartoons. Here they will also be able to ride the Restless Kids roller coaster.
