After the defeat of the order at Grunwald, the castle became the royal residence and served as a huge arsenal. Later, the Great Refectory and the palace were added to the castle. The walls of the Middle and High Castle, built of red bricks, fortifications with towers and gates and various technical solutions innovative in the Middle Ages, for example, an interesting central heating system, are impressive. Currently the castle museum is located here, the exposition of which displays collections of military equipment, amber products, porcelain, faience, furniture and jewelry. Tourists are attracted by the theatrical performance "light and sound", which leaves an unforgettable experience, as well as a visit to the castle at night. In the castle halls, concerts and knight's feasts in the medieval style are organized. On the last Saturday-Sunday of July, an open-air event "The Siege of Malbork" is organized.
