Kalinkovichi Museum of Local Lore was opened to visitors on January 14, 1994. The decision to create a local history museum was made by the Kalinkovichi city executive committee on March 26, 1991. The area of the exposition is currently 170 square meters, the museum fund has 3144 units.

The first hall "History of the native land" opens the exposition. Here you can learn a lot of interesting things about the animals of this unique region, about its rich flora, about endangered species and nature conservation measures that are taken in the area to preserve their native nature. It also displays samples of minerals, tells about the types of soil and the landscape of the Kalinkovichi region.

In the hall “Fragments of our history, or The past of the Kalinkovichi region in material evidence "you will see interesting archaeological finds found by scientists during excavations in the Kalinkovichi region. Here are kept tools, weapons, ornaments of the Stone and Bronze Ages that have survived to this day, and even the tusks of mammoths that once lived in these lands. Interesting exhibits show how the city lived during the time when it was part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Russian Empire.

A separate exposition is dedicated to the history of the Kalinkovichi railway junction. The city began to develop actively when the railway was built. The railway junction played a significant role in the formation of the Kalinkovichi industry.

Ethnographic hall “Kalinkovichi system. The song of my grandfathers "shows the life of the townspeople, their traditional national clothes, shoes, jewelry, household items. The works of famous Belarusian craftswomen are exhibited here - their delicate fabrics, embroidery, knitted items. You can see the tools with which the craftswomen made their amazing products: a spinning wheel, a self-spinning wheel, a reel, a hook for twisting ropes, a box for storing clothes.

Traditionally for Belarusian cities there is a hall of memory of heroes of the Great Patriotic War "They went through that war." There are many items here that remember the events of those terrible times and do not allow the descendants of national heroes who managed to defend their native land from the German fascist invaders to forget about the war.
