The Barcelona Botanical Garden is located between the Olympic Stadium and Montjuic Castle, in a steep terrain. The garden is a municipal institution, it has the shape of an amphitheater and covers an area of more than 14 hectares. The garden offers a beautiful view of the Llobregat delta, the Olympic ring, the Garraf and Collserola mountains.

The Botanical Garden of Barcelona actively develops and implements programs for the development of botanical and agricultural crops, conducts research and experiments, and its activities are supported by other scientific institutions such as the Botanical Institute of Barcelona, the Superior Council for Scientific Research and the City Council. When designing the garden, the topographic features of the area were strictly taken into account, which made it possible to use the spaces for planting plants with a minimum amount of land work.

The Botanical Garden of Barcelona has one of the largest collections of the most beautiful Mediterranean plants, among which there are many unique, rare and endangered exhibits.
