Photo and description

The Sondakyla Regional Museum began its activities in the collection and preservation of traditions in 1949. It introduces visitors to village life in the early 20th century and gives a clear idea of the local trading culture that existed at that time in the region.

The museum consists of 13 buildings. The main room consists of three rooms. The living room is decorated in accordance with local agricultural traditions: sacks of black loon skin hanging on the wall were used to store small tools and talismans.

Other buildings, such as Erkkila's barn, which is more than 100 years old, are also historical buildings ... In the past, it was used to store meat and fish, and as a sleeping place. The holes in its wall are bullet marks from target shooting.
