In Madrid, on the street General Martinez Campos, there is a museum of the famous Spanish artist, the outstanding impressionist Joaquin Sorolla. The house in which Sorolla settled with his family in 1911 still retains the atmosphere and atmosphere that prevailed here under the artist. After the death of her husband, Sorolla's widow bequeathed this house and all the artist's creative heritage to the state, and since 1932 the artist's museum has been located here.

Having visited the house-museum of Sorolla, visitors will be able not only to admire the wonderful canvases of the master, but also to get acquainted with the lifestyle and tastes of the great artist, because his house, which he dreamed of for many years, Sorolla furnished himself, creating in various rooms, it is truly bohemian, then cozy and homely.

The collection of the artist's paintings on display in the museum is truly huge. On the first floor, in three halls, where the artist's workshops were previously located, today the artist's self-portraits and portraits of his family members, bibliographic materials are exhibited. In the third room, the artist's preserved studio, there are his easels with unfinished paintings, exquisite pieces of furniture and decorative knick-knacks. The whole room is saturated with light coming through many windows.

On the second floor there are also several rooms with the artist's paintings, exhibited according to the chronological stages of his work - a hall dedicated to the period of formation (1876-1889), the heyday (1909-1911) and a hall with later paintings of the painter (1914-1919). There is also a room with paintings dedicated to the life and customs of different regions of Spain.

In front of the house there is an amazing garden, where it was possible to reproduce the appearance of the beautiful and green Andalusia.
