One of the interesting sights and one of the symbols of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Astana is the amazing President's Residence "Ak Orda". The palace is located on the left bank of the Ishim River, just 300 meters from the Baiterek National Monument.

The presidential residence was built in three years using the most modern technologies. Its construction began in September 2001 and ended in 2003. The official opening of the state facility took place in December 2004. Since that time, anyone can come here and see where all the most important decisions in the life of the country are being made.

The building of the President's residence "Ak Orda" is built of monolithic concrete. Building area - 36 720 sq. m., and the height with the spire was 80 m. The cladding was made of Italian marble.

Ak-Orda is a huge four-story building, where each of the halls has its own purpose. On the ground floor, with a ceiling height of 10 meters, there is a spacious Grand Hall with a total area of 1800 sq.m., a ceremonial hall, halls for press conferences and a beautiful Winter Garden. On the second floor there are exclusively office premises.

The third floor of the presidential residence is intended for international events. For example, in the Marble Hall, agreements are signed with the heads of other states, in the Oval Hall, high-level negotiations are held, and in the Golden Hall, meetings are held in a close circle. In addition, there is also an extended meeting room, hall in the form of a traditional Kazakh yurt and other rooms for various meetings.

The fourth hall houses the Meeting Hall for holding meetings with the Government, the Dome Hall, which hosts meetings of heads of different states at the highest level, the Library and other rooms ... Each of the rooms is individually decorated, furnished with exclusive furniture and covered with an original coating. The kitchen, dining room, technical services and garage are located in the basement of the building.

The residence of the president "Ak Orda" is an object open to tourists, there are constant excursions.
