Shuisky rocks description and photos - Russia - Karelia: Prionezhsky district. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionThe Shuisky rocks are a rocky basalt massif located in the forest near the village of Shuyskaya, located 30 km from the city of Petrozavodsk. The highest peak is 12 meters high; the length of the ridge of rocks is 100 meters. The rock has a basalt outlet with a versatile relief, which is not only simple inner corners, smooth walls, but also some "cracks", heavily overhanging like cornices. Several routes have been cut into the rock, laid out in the form of hooks. The difficulty of the tracks is estimated from 6a to 7a. The left side, or in other words the western sector, is slightly lower in height than the main massif; this sector is not clean and does not have classified routes, but still it will gladly meet its sophisticated and daring pioneers. The main rocky slope faces the southern side and here the rocks are intensely warmed by the sun. You can comfortably practice the interaction of Dombai ligaments, traditional classical climbing with the action of the top belay, rock orientation, boldaring, as well as emergency transportation of the victim. In front of the event site, there is a parking lot, which is a small clearing on a hillock directly in front of the rock. For a comfortable stay of visitors to the Shuya Rocks, tables are equipped, as well as a campfire site. Shuya Rocks are a particularly attractive place for all lovers and adherents of outdoor activities. This place will be interesting to climb not only for beginners who are beginning to master the science of rock climbing, but also for experienced athletes.
