One of the main attractions of the Moroccan capital, Rabat, is the famous Hassan Tower. In the XII Art. Sultan Yakub al-Mansur decided to build a new residence in Rabat with a mosque, which was to become the most magnificent structure in the Islamic world. The construction of the mosque began in 1195. The height of the four-sided Hasan tower is 44 m, and it was planned to be more than 60 m. The upper levels of the tower are decorated with patterns, while the lower levels and corners are smooth. Its main decoration is pointed arches.
