Agnondas is a small resort town on the southern coast of one of the greenest Greek islands - Skopelos. It is located in a picturesque cozy bay about 7-8 km from the capital of the island of the same name and has its own port.

According to local legend, the port got its name in honor of a native of Skopelos - Agnondas, who became in 569 BC. e. champion of the Olympic Games. The ship on which the champion triumphantly returned to his homeland sailed to the harbor of modern Agnondas, in connection with which, subsequently, this place got its name.
