Ftelia beach description and photos - Greece: Mykonos island. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The name in English is Ftelia.

Photo and description

The sandy beach of Ftelia is the largest "wild" beach on the island of Mykonos. It is located on the northern coast of the island in the bay of Panormos, about 5 km from the capital of the island of the same name.

Surprisingly, despite its proximity to the capital, Ftelia is a fairly secluded beach and is perfect for those who want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of excessive crowds. Ftelia beach is also considered one of the best places on the island for windsurfing.

There are a couple of good taverns on the beach where you can have a great lunch, and in its vicinity there is a relatively good selection of accommodation - mini-hotels, villas, apartments etc.

Lovers of archeology will be able to explore the ruins of a Neolithic settlement located almost on the beach, dating back to the middle of the 5th millennium BC <
