The Museum of the artist Nikifor Krynicki is a museum in the Polish town of Krynica-Zdroj, where photographs and memorabilia of the famous primitivist painter are kept.

The museum is located in a wooden building in center of the city and is a branch of the Local History Museum in Nowy Sacz.

The building of the museum - Villa Romanovka - was built in the middle of the nineteenth century in the so-called `` Swiss style '', which is very typical for that time in this area. This is a log house with a painted facade. Wooden triangular pediments are placed above the doors and windows. The building housed a private boarding house, which was closed in 1990. The house was dismantled for restoration, and later reassembled in the same place.

The museum of the artist Nikifor Krynitsky was opened here in 1995. The place was not chosen by chance: the artist was born in this city in 1895, lived here for a long time, until he was forcibly deported. The artist managed to return. Nikifor Krynitsky was buried in the city cemetery.

The museum contains 77 works of the artist, an exposition of his modest workshop was made, which consisted only of boxes with brushes. The museum displays photographs of the artist, invitations to numerous art exhibitions, and books describing his work.
