The famous Polish resort Krynica-Zdroj is located in an area rich in mineral springs, the water of which helps against diseases of the urinary tract, kidneys, stomach, liver and diabetes. Each spring has access to a certain gazebo or an independent building, however, if tourists do not have enough time or desire to stroll around the resort to taste water from different sources, then they should go to the Main Drinking Gallery, which is a common pump room for all springs.

This large building of glass and concrete was built in the style of modernism in the 70s of the last century on the Dietl boulevards next to the old main pump room, which did not meet the requirements of the time and could not accommodate everyone who wanted to taste the local healing water ... The thing is, that in Krynica-Zdroj all water is paid. To use one or another source, you must purchase a ticket at the box office. There are many resorts, so queues line up. In order to slightly relieve the building and make the water intake more pleasant, it was decided to build a new drinking gallery, on which architects Stanislav Spyt and Zbigniew Mikolaevsky worked.

The building was inaugurated in 1971. In addition to the hall for receiving water, there was a splendid palm greenhouse, which soon became a favorite place for city dwellers to walk during the winter season. The glass building was equipped with a heating system for walls and floors, so exotic plants felt at ease here. Also in the Main Drinking Gallery there was a concert hall for 350 people. After the last renovation, carried out in 2014, it was expanded to 1200 seats.

A pump room with an area of 4540 sq. m is open from 10.00 to 18.00.
