On the site of the current small town Thalang on the island. Phuket was the battle of the Thais with the Burmese in 1785. The memory of this war and the victory of the Thais is immortalized in the Monument to the Heroine Sisters Thep Krasatri and Si Sunn Thon, who managed to organize the island's defense and outwit the enemies: two bronze women, dressed in men's clothes, stand with Thai swords in their hands.

The National Museum is housed in a classic Southern Thai building. In its exposition you can see Chinese porcelain, ancient cult objects, handicrafts.

In the Pratkhong wad there is an amazing statue of a gilded Buddha, half buried in the ground. Several times they tried to dig it out, but all attempts ended in failure. This was seen as a sign that that Buddha does not want to be dug up and a legend was born that anyone who tries to dig up or move the statue will be in great misfortune. There is a small archaeological museum on the territory of the monastery.
