Photo and description

The Old Opera is one of the most famous buildings in Frankfurt. It was opened in 1880. The motto `` True, Beautiful, Kind '' can be read on the building. The opera was built in the neo-Renaissance style, as evidenced by a double pediment, similar to a Greek portico, and many statues on the roof.

During the Second World War, the building was almost completely burned down, but was restored and now has become a venue for various congresses and conferences.
