Photo and description

In the center of Sofia there is one of the main attractions of Bulgaria - the famous National Palace of Culture. This monumental building, built in 1981, is a complex that combines elements of plastic art and modern architecture. More metal was used in the construction of the building than in the construction of the Eiffel Tower. In the Palace itself there are 15 halls and about 50 rooms, designed for a total of 8 thousand people and intended for events of various kinds. The largest of them (and the main one) is the first hall of the complex.

The interior of the building deserves special attention, the interior of which is decorated with monumental paintings, tapestries, sculptural compositions, decorative elements, In 2009, the European Economic Forum awarded it the "Best Congress Center" award, and earlier, in 2005, it was officially recognized as the best in the world.

Visitors to the complex can walk through the park surrounding the NDK. The best view of the Vitosha Mountain in Sofia opens from here.
