The title in English is Brama sw. Floriana. Photo and descriptionThe Florian Gate, first mentioned in 1307, is dedicated to St. Florian, patron of Krakow. The entrance gate is located in a square tower of boulders, built at the beginning of the 14th century and crowned with a whimsical top of the 16th century. Inside the tower's lancet portal is a chapel with the image of the Virgin Mary. On its northern facade there is a heraldic eagle sculptured according to a drawing by Jan Matejka; on the south - a baroque relief depicting St. Florian, who was also revered as a defender from fires.
