The Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity in Anadyr is the first and only wooden church in Chukotka. It is located in the central part of the city on the high bank of the Anadyr estuary.

The decision to build a cathedral of the Holy Trinity in the capital of Chukotka was made in 2002. The temple was laid in April 2004. The construction of the cathedral lasted two years. The solemn consecration took place in 2005. Funds for the construction of the temple were donated by residents of Anadyr and the governor of the region, R.A. Abramovich. The author of this project was the architect P. Averchenko. Materials for the cathedral were delivered to the city from Omsk.

The total height of the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity is approximately 25 m, and its area is 600 square meters. m. The cathedral can accommodate up to a thousand parishioners. The church has a beautiful five-tiered iconostasis, which is decorated with picturesque and carved icons depicting the Holy Trinity. The style of A. Rublev is guessed in the picturesque icons, and in the carved ones - by F. Grek. Bells for the cathedral were cast in Voronezh. The loud ringing of the bells of the Life-Giving Trinity Cathedral serves as a kind of beacon for ships arriving in the city in conditions of poor visibility and fog.

In the Life-Giving Trinity Cathedral there are three side-chapels: the first - in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity, the second - in the name of the Assumption The Most Holy Theotokos and the third - in honor of the Monk Mary of Egypt. A group of artists from Omsk was engaged in the interior of the temple. Both carved and painted icons are present in the interior of the cathedral. S. Patrakhin worked on the icon painting, as for the carved images, they were made by P. Minin.
