Wat Phra Nang Sang Temple in Thailand, Phuket Resort

It was built about half a millennium ago and is considered the oldest temple on the entire island. The temple has many pewter statues that have survived from the time when tin was considered a semi-precious metal. the temple yard is a monument to the very first abbot. There are also statues of Lady Mook and Lady Chan and the mummy of Luang Po Bai – the former abbot. The courtyard is also decorated with a statue of the Big Sleeping Buddha. The interior of the temple is decorated with frescoes and paintings about the life of the Buddha, as well as important events in the history of the island.
