Photo and description

The Royal Gardens of Valencia is a famous green park with an incredible number of beautiful subtropical plants. The Royal Gardens are located next to the Valencia Fine Arts Museum. This park, which the residents of the city call Los Viveros, was formed back in 1560, when Philip II wanted to decorate the area around his palace and ordered four thousand plants in order to create a beautiful garden. Unfortunately, the building of the Palace itself was completely destroyed during the Spanish War of Independence, but the gardens were restored and preserved. Today, the Royal Gardens has a large collection of diverse flora, which includes truly rare exhibits and which is constantly being replenished. There are many varieties of lush magnolias, beautiful palms, hibiscus blooming all year round, as well as other interesting plants. The garden is decorated with benches, statues, imposing columns supporting original pergolas, fountains and small artificial lakes with waterfalls in which birds swim.

In addition, on the territory of the Royal Gardens, there is a small menagerie - the so-called bio garden, which contains animals. The gardens also house the pavilions of the International Trade Fair, which many tourists visit with great pleasure.

On the opposite side of the Royal Gardens, there is the Royal Bridge, decorated with sculptures of saints. A little further away there is another beautiful interesting bridge - the Aragonese.

The Royal Gardens are the most luxurious garden in Valencia, a visit to which will bring incredible aesthetic pleasure to everyone and allow you to take a break from the hustle and bustle.
