The city of Didim is a treasury of the ancient world, located on the coast of the Aegean Sea. The sacred road to the ancient city of Miletus, the mythical head of Medusa, as well as the Temple of Apollo and other interesting monuments of antiquity provide an amazing opportunity when visiting the city to step back many millennia.

In the 6th century BC, the city was a place of worship Apollo Didim. Later in honor of this god, an ancient temple was erected in the city, which today is the oldest in Asia. The temple was built around the 8th century BC. In those days, the temple was a sacred site of the ancient era, and was inferior in scale   only the temple of Hera, located on the island of Samos and Artemisia – in Ephesus.
