Kemi Church is a neo-Gothic evangelist-Lutheran church built in 1902 according to the project of Joseph Stenbeck. The church building is designed for a thousand visitors and attracts the eye with its beauty and impressive brick walls. The high bell tower serves as a kind of lighthouse, a landmark for local residents and sailors.

The temple has excellent acoustics, allowing visitors to enjoy regular concerts of classical and brass music.

Next to the church there is a large war memorial, to which people come to honor the memory of all the dead Finnish soldiers.

In 2003, large-scale restoration work was carried out in the temple, after which the church was reopened to tourists and parishioners all year round.
