Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker - active Orthodox Church in the city of Imatra, erected by the architect Toivo Paatela in 1956 year. It was originally a small chapel in traditional Russian style, but after a few years it was significantly expanded and rededicated as a temple. Austere style of interior decoration, wooden facade decoration, harmonious the atmosphere of the temple leaves a mark on the soul of every person who visits the church. Inside this temple, beloved and respected by both locals and tourists, looks like a real Russian church with icons in gold frames, an altar and numerous candles. Services, however, are held here in Finnish.
