Among tourists, Si Yago is known more as the"children's cannon", which at first glance does not really correlate with the impressive size of the massive cast cannon. This name was assigned to the gun because of the legend associated with it: it is believed that Si Iago is a symbol of fertility, and she is able to endow this wonderful property with all who for some reason are deprived of it. That is why almost all the time you can see spouses dreaming of a baby near the gun. According to legend, in order to join the mysterious power of Shi Yago, it is enough to rub the barrel of the gun with your hand, but in practice those thirsty for procreation often sit on Shi Yago astride, thereby increasing the chances of success. The famous cannon also has a third name"fig gun". The fact is that the part of Si Iago, through which the cannonball should be placed in the weapon, ends with a very artistically executed cast sculpture in the form of an indecent gesture. Of course, such a spicy detail instantly gained fame among tourists and increased the popularity of Si Yago. Nowadays, any highly cultured and educated traveler considers it his duty to visit this landmark and be sure to take a picture against its background.
