Museum Thomas Dobre in France, resort of Nantes

The famous traveler Thomas Dobre, who has been collecting objects of art all his life, in 1862 began building a"palace" for the tens of thousands of exhibits he collected. Several architects worked on it: Simon, Bois, Chenate, Dieberdere. The museum is located in the center of Nantes next to the mansion of the bishop of Nantes, Jean V, built in the 15th century. On the territory of the museum, you can see the wonderful Dobre collection, which presents many antiques. The museum is now owned by the Loire-Atlantique Council.
