The Austrian Open Air Museum is located 15 kilometers from Graz in the wooded valley of the Mur River on a fertile land called Stubing.

The area of the museum is about 60 hectares, where about 100 exhibits are located. Many old and interesting village buildings from all over Austria have been brought to this place. Here you can see a variety of buildings - farm estates, alpine cozy houses, food processing and storage facilities, reed-covered buildings, square, round, triangular and other structures. The common feature of all these houses is that they are all directly related to farming.

The Museum Park is dedicated to the history of farming and agriculture in Austria. By visiting the museum, you can learn about the life and occupations of ordinary people, how they comprehended the mechanization of labor on earth. Here you can get acquainted with the evolution of mills, carts, tools that gradually facilitate human labor.

In addition to buildings in the park part of the museum, rare plants are grown - shrubs, trees and flowers.
