Victory Square in Paris in France, Paris resort
Rating: 8,3/10 (1131 votes)  Victory Square, despite such a loud name, is perhaps the smallest square in Paris. It was smashed not far from the Richelieu residence – Palais Royal. The creation of this square was initiated by one of the French marshals in 1685. According to his idea, France needed to perpetuate military victories in the battles with Holland in the memory of descendants. In the center of the square was an equestrian statue of Louis XIV, which was destroyed and restored again during several revolutions. The statue that stands there now is the third version of the restored monument.
