In the refectory church there is a fresco `` The Last Supper '' by Leonardo da Vinci, which is one of the most famous in the world. The church was erected in the late Gothic style in 1469. The author of the project was Guiniforte Solari. At the end of the 15th century, Duke Ludovico Sforza decided to place in the church the tomb of the ducal family of Sforza. He hired a Renaissance master to complete the church. In the 80s of the last century, the monastery complex was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
