The State Museum of Natural History is one of the largest natural science museums in the country.

The museum was founded in the 18th century with the first collections of natural attractions belonging to the Margraves of Baden .

Permanent exhibitions of the museum are represented by fossils, minerals, stuffed exotic and European animals. There is also a vivarium in the building, where you can watch live individuals.

The symbol of the museum is the skeleton of a hunter-gatherer, which was discovered near Ehningen in 1726. For a long time, the skeleton was considered the remains of an ancient sinner who died during the Biblical Flood. The museum also houses a library,
