The Holy Trinity Cathedral is a real masterpiece of sacred architecture and the main Orthodox church in the city of Lutsk. This majestic cathedral is located in the city center, at Gradny Descent, 1.

Trinity Cathedral rises on the site where in ancient times there was a wooden church named after the Holy Cross. Somewhere in the middle of the 17th century, the temple, along with the surrounding lands, was bought by the wife of the zemstvo judge, who donated them to the Bernardine order. In 1720, the ancient wooden church was demolished, and in its place the construction of a stone defensive monastery began. The main temple of the monastery was the Holy Trinity Cathedral. The shrine was created with a unique sophistication. She was distinguished not only by her magnificent appearance, but also by her interior decoration.

In 1853, the Bernardine Order was abolished, and the monastery was liquidated. The cathedral, which originally had Rococo features, was transferred to the Orthodox Church, after which it was rebuilt in the late Baroque style. Subsequently, the former Catholic decoration of the temple was completely destroyed. Film But, despite such changes, the interior of the 19th century has been partially preserved to this day. The gilded two-tiered iconostasis created in the pseudo-Russian style by famous Ukrainian masters is of particular value in the cathedral. Also, the exquisite bell tower of the Holy Trinity Cathedral attracts special attention, on which nine bells are installed, the oldest of which is the bell, cast in 1820.
