The Moravian Gallery, located in Brno, is today one of the largest museums in the Czech Republic. The gallery is a real find for historians, art historians and curious tourists.

The Moravian Gallery is not only a museum, but also an institution focused on visual culture, as well as drawing, painting, photography , plastic arts and painting from antiquity to modern times, applied arts, architecture and graphic design.

The Moravian Gallery has a rather interesting history. The gallery was opened in 1961, it was housed in a building built in 1817, where at that time the Frantishkov Museum was located.

The gallery is located in five buildings – Mysterious Palace, Prague Palace, in the building of the Art and Industrial Museum, the House of Joseph Hoffmann and Ville Jurkovic – interesting from an architectural point of view.

The museum presents permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibitions introducing visitors to contemporary Czech art.
