Church of St. Jerome in Croatia, Rijeka resort
Rating: 8,3/10 (3609 votes)  The Church of St. Jerome was built in the 14th century in the Gothic style and belonged to an Augustinian monastery. After a powerful earthquake in 1750, the church was destroyed. Later, the church was erected in the Baroque style, but the architectural elements of the Gothic were preserved. When visiting the Church of Jerome, it is worth looking into the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, which has a Gothic vault and frescoes.
