Hill Marjan in Croatia, Split resort
Rating: 8,6/10 (2094 votes)  Marjan Hill is located in the western part of Split. Its height reaches 178 meters. From the top of the hill, a magnificent panorama of the city's outskirts opens. There are many attractions on the hill, such as the Church of St. George, located on the western slope, the Oceanographic Institute, the Museum of Natural History, the zoo. Another attraction is the caves that can be seen on the southern slope of the hill. Hermits lived in these caves in the 15th century. In front of the caves there is a small church with an altar and a relief of St. Jerome.
