Ludwig Moser – a talented entrepreneur and skilled engraver, opened a glass factory in 1857, which later received his name. Since then, the plant has taken a fairly strong position among the manufacturers of colored glass and crystal. Fine crystal products 'Moser' began to appear in the collections of political leaders, after which they received the name"royal crystal". Luxurious crystal sets made a great impression on Edward the Seventh – King of Great Britain, Queen Elizabeth II, King Alphonse the Thirteenth, Pope John Paul II and other prominent historical figures. There is a museum next to the plant, which houses an exhibition with five thematic expositions – branded enamels, a club of large Moser cups, the history of the Moser factory, the historical development of Moser drinking and decorative glass products, Moser scientific conferences. On display in the museum you can see historical documents, old glass blowers, awards and much more. Visitors are introduced to unique glass and crystal products created by virtuoso masters of the past centuries and the present. The museum also exhibits glass items, belonging to the royal family, as well as other valuable exhibits. In addition to the museum exhibition, guests are also invited to observe the process of making crystal and glass products. You can watch how master glassblowers, engravers and grinders perform painstaking and delicate work. All products are engraved by hand. One of the most difficult processes is grinding, because it is at this stage that about 80% of products are rejected. After applying platinum or gold inlay, the pattern is polished by hand.
