Today the monument is one of the best works of Arnoldo Dzokki – Florentine sculptor. The erection of the monument began in 1901, by 1903 the work was completed. In 1907, a solemn consecration took place in the presence of the sculptor himself, Tsar Ferdinand the First, Prince Vladimir Alexandrovich, his son Andrei Vladimirovich, his wife Maria Pavlovna, the commandant of St. Petersburg Parensov. Polished granite was used for the construction of the monument. The monument consists of a massive Renaissance cornice, a middle part with figures and a basement pedestal.
