A breathtaking view of the peninsula opens from here, the panorama is especially beautiful at sunset. The lighthouse was built on the top of Malaya Gora in 1910. The concrete passage from the tower to the nearest building was created by the French, fearing Vietnamese attacks. A French travel guide issued in 1939 lays out a requirement for visitors to ban photography. Unfortunately, this ban is still in effect. You can get to the lighthouse either on foot or by bike – the slope is quite small here. You can also walk to the lighthouse from the nearby Back Beach.
