Church of the Virgin Mary in Cyprus, Paphos resort
Rating: 7,5/10 (100 votes)  The Church of the Virgin Mary was built in the 5th century and was a basilica from the early Christian era. At present, only ruins remain of the church, but looking at them, you can get an idea of the general plan of the building. The nave of the church had three aisles, which were separated by a row of columns, and the floor was paved with mosaics. Now the ruins of the church are closed and surrounded by a fence, you can look at them only through the fence.
