New Gate in Israel, Jerusalem Resort
Rating: 9,5/10 (1790 votes)  The New Gate is called this way, since it was built much later than other similar structures in the Old City. Their construction was completed in 1898 to facilitate access for citizens to the Christian Quarter of Jerusalem. Thanks to the opening of these gates, pilgrims were able to easily visit the Christian shrine - the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
