Chipiko Palace in Croatia, Trogir resort
Rating: 7,7/10 (653 votes)  Chipiko Palace is located opposite the main entrance of St. Lovro Cathedral. It was built in the 15th century for the most famous dynasty of Trogir - Chipiko. The building was designed by architects Alesia and Firentinac. Chipiko Palace has several decorations: & middot; A carved Venetian Gothic window by Alesi himself. & middot; A carved wooden figure of a cock-fish located near the main entrance. It was removed from the prow of a Turkish ship in the middle of the 15th century, after a naval battle in which Turkey was defeated. One of the members of the famous Chipiko family was a captain from Trogir and a participant in this battle. Since the Chipiko Palace is located in the historic center of Trogir, it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
