Rating: 8,0/10 (900 votes) The plague column, also known as the Mariinsky Column, is located in Telc, in the central square in the middle of a flower-garden. The column was created at the expense of the burgomaster's wife in 1718. D. Lipart became the chief sculptor. The column was decorated with statues of saints. Next to the column is a fountain with a sculpture of Saint Margaret, altered in 1717 by Lipart – originally in the 16th century there was a wooden original here.
