Photo and description

According to historical information, the foundation of the Catholic parish in the city was associated with the existence of the Polish diaspora in Yekaterinburg. In July 1882, the foundation stone of the temple was laid. Its solemn consecration in 1884 was performed by Father Bronislav Orlicky. The main altar was decorated with a magnificent icon of St. Anne.

Before the start of the First World War, the number of communities in the Urals was growing noticeably. However, during the war, the number of Catholics dropped significantly. In the post-revolutionary years, the Decree on the Separation of Church and State came into effect, which was adopted in 1918. All church property was transferred under the control of the Soviets. During the Second World War, the cathedral kept the collections of the evacuated Hermitage. After that, a bus station was equipped here. At the beginning of the first half of the 60s. the building of the temple was demolished.

In 1992, the Yekaterinburg Catholic community was officially registered. Initially, the community consisted of 20 people, now it has over 400 parishioners. Initially, services were held in the House of Culture, after which Catholics were given three houses, which until 1924 were the property of the parish.

In 1996, at the request of the parish community, the local authorities decided to return the former property of the parish - the houses located on Gogol Street. The construction of the new church began in May 1996. The authors of this project were the architect from Slovakia M. Goldbik and the parishioner A. Guselnikov. The consecration ceremony of the temple took place in July 2000

Outwardly, the temple resembles an old church of the past. There is a bell tower with a cross above the central entrance to the temple. The interior of the Church of St. Anne corresponds to all the traditions of the Catholic Church. The church has a Sunday school and a library.
