Photo & Description

Ewandale is a small, cozy village 15 minutes south of Lanceston, famous for its 19th century buildings and relatively unchanged cityscape. The population of Ewandale, founded in 1811, is just over a thousand people, almost all residents are engaged in tourism and agriculture. Every February there is a fair and a National Cycling Championship, which attracts enthusiasts from all over Australia and other parts of the world. The town itself is full of antique shops and souvenir shops, there is even a stained glass workshop.

In Ewandale, it is worth paying attention to the Church of St. Andrew and the 1836 Georgian-style Clarendon House. There is also a factory that produces delicious berry and chocolate gravies, as well as sauces and chutneys - a sweet and sour seasoning for meat. You can try all this in the factory building, located in the beautiful Ericvale Gardens. In the vicinity of Ewandale, there are small wineries that produce good wines of various varieties.
